To Change the Constraint Type of a Free Parabolic or Circular Vertical Curve

When Entity Based is selected in the Profile Layout Tools, you can unlock and change the constraint type of free parabolic or circular vertical curves in the Profile Layout Parameters dialog box.

Note: Unlocking and changing the constraint type is supported for free circular and parabolic vertical curves that are created with the Free Vertical Curve (Parabolic), Free Vertical Parabola (PVI Based), Free Vertical Curve (Circular) and Free Circular Curve (PVI Based) commands.

1. Click the profile. Click Profile tabModify Profile panelGeometry Editor Find.
2. On the Profile Layout Tools toolbar, click the following options:
   • Entity Based
   • Profile Layout Parameters
3. On the Profile Layout Tools toolbar, click Select Entity.
4. Click the vertical curve in the drawing to select it.
5. In the Profile Layout Properties dialog box, do the following:
   • Change the Parameter Constraint Lock value to False.
   • Change the Constraint Type Desc value to a different constraint.
   • Optionally, change the Parameter Constraint Lock value back to True.
6. Use the Profile Layout Properties dialog box to edit the vertical curve values as needed.
