To Transparently Use a Latitude and Longitude to Specify a Point Location

You can specify a point location, using latitude and longitude values.

Zone and coordinate system settings are required in the drawing, and any applied transformations.

  1. When you are prompted to enter a point, do one of the following:
    • Click Transparent tab Plan panel Latitude Longitude Find.
    • Right-click to display the Transparent Commands context menu Latitude Longitude.
    • Activate the Transparent Commands toolbar and select Latitude Longitude .
    • Enter 'll (two Ls).
  2. Enter a latitude value.
  3. Enter a longitude value.
    Note: The order in which you are prompted for latitude and longitude is controlled by the Transparent Command setting Prompt For Longitude Then Latitude. For more information, see About Transparent Command Settings.
  4. If you are prompted, enter an elevation. For more information, see To Enter an Elevation for a Transparent Command.
    Note: Elevation prompting for transparent commands is controlled by the Transparent Command setting Prompt For 3D Points. For more information, see About Transparent Command Settings.
