Use this tab to specify options for creating the connected profile.
- Create Profile for Connected Alignment
- Creates a profile for the connected alignment.
-
Connection In Profile/Connection Out Profile
- Specifies which profile should be used for the connection in and connection out alignments. After selecting the profiles, specify either a cross slope or delta elevation that should be used to create the profile for the connected alignment.
-
Cross Slope/Delta Elevation
- Specifies a cross slope or delta elevation to apply to the profile for the connected alignment.
The Cross Slope and Delta Elevation options are used to adjust the profiles at the overlap parts of the connected alignment (which are parallel to the selected parent alignment profiles). Then the profiles at the overlap parts are connected with the parabola or circular curve to generate the connected alignment profile.
The cross slope is multiplied by the offset value to obtain the delta elevation. You can also input a delta elevation directly using the Delta Elevation value. If both Cross Slope and Delta Elevation options are selected, they will be merged.
-
Profile Name
- Specifies the default name template for the connected profile.
-
Profile Style List
- Displays the current style. Click the arrow to select another profile style in the drawing.
-
Style Detail
-
Opens the
Style Detail dialog box where you can preview the profile style.
-
Profile Curve Type
- Specifies whether to create a parabola or circular curve when creating profile geometry for the connected alignment.
After selecting a curve type, select a parameter from the drop down list to specify how the geometry of the parabola or circular curve is defined and enter a value for the selected parameter.
Note: After the connected profile is created, some values can be changed on the
Connected Profile Tab of the Profile Properties dialog box.
