NVIDIA RTX A6000 support, RAM-to-VRAM ratio is no longer a requirement, required update for network licenses.
The NVIDIA RTX A6000 is now supported.
In previous versions of Flame Family products, the requirements specified the installed RAM quantity had to be at least three times the GPU VRAM.
But this requirement doesn't work with recent GPUs, like NVIDIA RTX A6000 and its 48 GB of VRAM. The 3:1 RAM-to-VRAM ratio is not always respected, and causes rendering issues.
Starting with Flame Family 2023.1, the 3:1 RAM-to-VRAM ratio is no longer a requirement. This change impacts Linux and Apple (Intel) configurations, and should provide more robust GPU workflows on current hardware configurations, as well as legacy ones.
Apple M1 configurations are not impacted: Flame Family 2022.3 was already modified to manage the VRAM on the M1 without the 3:1 ratio.
If you are still using network licenses, you must update to the latest version of Autodesk NLM (version 11.18.0). You can download it from your Autodesk Account.
InfiniBand checks are removed from dlConfigCheck.
systemd scripts are now installed in system-defined location /usr/lib/systemd/system. It was /etc/systemd/system in previous releases.
