Updates

2023.2 Additional enhancements

Indicates a feature suggested and voted up by users on the Flame Feedback portal.

Frame aspect ratio: The rounding of a frame aspect ratio set to w:h changes in this update: for example, a value such as 1.34 is no longer rounded to 1.33. Clips restored from a project archive made using an older version than Flame 2016 may get a different aspect ratio. This can be corrected by setting the DL_BOUNDS_FAR_EPSILON environment variable to 0.01 before restoring the archive.

Preferences: The Support tab is no longer available in the Preferences. To provide the log files to the Autodesk support team, use the script /opt/Autodesk/<version>/bin/ftpuploadlogs.py .

Project Management: When you create a project, the Volume creation settings are now displayed in a window.

Timeline: A dialog box now appears when no segment matches the criteria set in the Timeline Search window.

Viewport layout: There are now two 4-Up viewport layouts available in the viewing area: 4-Up Split and 4-Up.

2023.1 Additional enhancements

MediaHub: The read-only status activity has been reduced to avoid browsing performance issues. Users must manually refresh MediaHub if the read-only status of the current location has been changed..

Keyboard shortcuts: The Toggle Overlays Quick Off keyboard shortcut has been reassigned to Alt+O in the Flame, Smoke Classic, and Lustre user profiles, and to Ctrl+Alt+O in the Smoke FCP use profile. This change was necessary because Meta+O is used by GNOME on Rocky Linux.
