Backburner is now at version 2023.0.0.100 and contains mostly fixes related to stability and speed.
- Improved speed when sending, listing, and deleting lots of jobs.
- Improved Backburner Manager stability when sending lots of jobs.
- A bad symlink in
/opt/Autodesk/backburner/Adapters*/ no longer prevents Backburner Manager from starting.
- Improved speed when scanning

- Backburner Manager no longer hangs at startup.
- Backburner Manager no longer attempts to send notifications at startup.
- Backburner Manager no longer hangs when shut down while jobs are being created.

- Fetching network interface information through Wiretap is now faster.

- When using the Backburner command line job utility (cmdjob), error messages are now displayed in the standard output (stdout). These examples create a cmdjob, with or without error redirection:

Backburner Monitor
The latest Backburner Monitor contains the following improvements.
- The Job list now automatically displays jobs freshly archived or restored.
- The row height default value is now one line instead of three lines in previous releases. See the Settings menu to change this value.
- A new Warning icon makes warnings more obvious.
- Sorting Jobs is now faster.
- If Backburner Manager is not running, you should no longer experience delays when closing Backburner Monitor.
- The Progress bar now updates correctly when processing large tasks.
In the Manager Settings, the section
Group Task in Blocks groups tasks sent to the server to speed up processing. This speed up does decrease the amount of feedback given. This setting is enabled by default.
