To Check Bend Radius in Hose Routes

The position of flexible hoses placed in a tube and pipe assembly can sometimes violate the specified Minimum bend radius set in the flexible hose style. To check for bend radius violations, Right-click the hose node you want to check in the browser, select Bend Radius Check.

A green check mark displays next to the hose in the browser to indicate success.

If there are any violations, the Show Violations dialog box displays. An icon displays next to a hose to indicate violations.

You can immediately adjust the hose position to fix a violation, or you can continue working and adjust them later. Documentation can be created with bend radius violations.

A violation is cleared from both the browser and the tube and pipe assembly when appropriate adjustments are made to the hose position. To clear a violation from the browser without fixing the violation, use Clear Violations from the context menu.

Use Bend Radius Check to check for bends that violate the specified Minimum bend radius . You can run a bend radius check on a selected flexible hose route. An icon is displayed beside the route in the browser if violations are detected.

Before you begin, you must set the minimum bend radius value for the hose to check. Minimum bend radius is set on the Rules tab of the Styles dialog box.

  1. In the browser or graphics window, select the flexible hose route to check.
  2. Right-click and select Bend Radius>Check from the context menu.
Note: A violation is cleared from both the browser and the tube and pipe assembly when appropriate adjustments are made to the hose position. To clear a violation from the browser without fixing the violation, right-click and use Clear Violations from the context menu.
