Delta Mush deformer

Use Delta Mush deformers to filter deformation artifacts and create smoothing effects.

The Delta Mush deformer functions as a low-pass filter to remove deformation artifacts and guide the final result closer to the original rest geometry. It can be useful in many different workflows such as paint free skinning, smoothing of coarse simulation results and shot post corrections.

The Delta mush applies a laplacian smoothing algorithm on the rest state of the geometry and stores the difference between the rest and smoothed state per vertex (the delta) in surface space coordinates. It then applies a Laplacian smoothing algorithm on the current state of the geometry and re-applies the stored deltas in surface space coordinates to remove deformation artifacts introduce by the deformation chain.
