Assign colors to polygon vertices by painting

You can paint color per vertex data (CPV) directly onto a polygon mesh using the Paint Vertex Color Tool.

To paint vertex colors using Paint Vertex Color Tool

1. Select the mesh you want to paint on.
2. Select Mesh Display > Paint Vertex Color Tool > .

   The Paint Vertex Color Tool Optionsare presented.

3. Click the Color value swatch to edit the color using the color editor.
4. Do any of the following:
   • Drag the brush across the mesh to color the vertices.
   • Hold / (slash) and click any pixel on the screen to switch to its color.
   • Click the Flood button to set all vertices to the current color and attributes in the tool options panel.
