Bevel polygon edges and faces

Bevels expand each selected edge into a new face, rounding the edges of a polygon mesh. See Bevel command.

To bevel edges or faces

  1. Select a mesh object or select the edges or faces you want to bevel.
Note: If you select a mesh object, Maya bevels every edge in the mesh.
  2. Select Edit Mesh > Bevel from the main menu or click in the Modeling Toolkit.

Maya bevels the selected edges or the perimeter edges of the selected faces.

Note: Per-face shader assignments are retained after the bevel operation.
  3. In the In-View Editor that appears, adjust the polyBevel attributes.
Tip: Select an attribute in the marking menu (Ctrl + Shift + Right-click) to make your selection the active attribute in the In-View Editor. You can cycle through the list of attributes using Ctrl + Tab (cycles from the bottom of the list to the top) or Ctrl + Shift + Tab (cycles from the top of the list to the bottom).
