You can use the
Quad Draw tool to add new polygon faces to an existing mesh. This is useful if you want to append a base shape with new details.
To add polygons with
Quad Draw
- Select the mesh you want to add polygons to.
- Activate the
Quad Draw tool.
- Drop dots and
Create polygons as you would with any normal
Quad Draw operation.
You can create quads or tris between combinations of dots and existing vertices.
Note: When adding polygons to an asymmetrical mesh while
Topological Symmetry is enabled, the
Quad Draw tool may produce lamina faces or other undesirable constructs on the mirrored side. We recommend only using symmetrical Quad Draw when your mesh is 100% symmetrical, or running the
Cleanup command afterward to remove any unwanted component constructs.
