Connect MASH networks to objects

MASH Breakout allows you to drive animatable attributes on objects in your scene using a MASH network. This is useful if you want to leverage common MASH effects like Noise or Spring directly on objects rather than instances.

To connect an object to the Breakout node

  1. Select the object in the scene.
  2. In the MASH_Breakout tab of the Attribute Editor, right-click the Connected Nodes section and select Connect.

    The Breakout Connection Manager appears.

  3. In the Breakout Connection Manager's left panel, select the connected object.
  4. In the right panel, select an attribute in the From Breakout section (representing the MASH network), and then select an attribute from the To Selection section (representing the object).

The two attributes are connected so that one drives the other.

You can break existing connections in the MASH_Breakout tab by right-clicking them in the Connected Nodes section and selecting Break Connection.
