This node is the backbone of a MASH network, which allows you to create other nodes that will affect the network.

Waiter Node

Count

Count
Displays the number of points in the MASH network.
Batch Render Multiplier
This value is multiplied by the number of points when sent to a batch render. Helpful for off-loading heavy computations to render time (i.e. half the number of points in your scene and set this value to two).

Add Node

Click on any of the icons to add the respective node to the MASH network.

Advanced

RenderMan Archives (RIBs)
Allows you to specify the location of any RIB files to help with rendering instances in RenderMan. For more information, see Rendering MASH with RenderMan.

Presets

You can create and access your own saved MASH networks from here.

Preset Location
The folder where the presets are saved.
Create Preset
Allows you to name and create a preset.
Show Visor
Opens the MASH Presets tab in the Visor.

Caching

Allows you to create and apply caches to your MASH networks. Caches are a single file (.mcx) per channel and their names are based on the name of the Waiter. Once you've created a cache, you can disable the MASH nodes in that channel since the Waiter will rely on the cache instead.

Open the Cache Creator
Opens the Cache Creator window.
Enable / Disable Cache
Allows you to turn the caches for various channels on and off.
