MASH Blend Deformer

Blends the connected mesh to another version of the same mesh. However, unlike a regular Blend Deformer, this blend can interact with MASH falloff objects, maps, etc. It does not require a MASH network to use.

Connections

Blend Mesh
Displays the mesh currently being blended to. To assign a selected mesh, you can middle-drag it to this field or right-click the field and click Connect.
Note: The mesh being used as a Blend Mesh must have the same vertex arrangement as the mesh blending to it.
Guide Curve
Displays the curve along which an object will follow during a blend. To assign a selected curve, you can middle-drag it to this field or right-click the field and click Connect.
Blend Value
Determines the level of blend between the source and end objects.
Inflate
Expands mesh vertices outward.
Smoothing Iterations
Increases the overall smoothing between the source and target shapes. Higher values result in shapes that are a blend of both even at 0 and full Strength.
Melt
Rescinds vertices over the course of the blend.

Ramps

This section contains ramps that control the shape of their respective attributes' effect on the source object, which are primarily visible when a Falloff Object is used. For each ramp, the left side represents the area just inside the affected region, while the right side represents the blend at maximum strength.

Strength

Strength
Fades the node's effect for all the vertices at the same time.
Random Strength
Smoothly fades the node's effect on vertices in a random order.
Step Strength
Turns the node's effect off one vertex at a time.
Strength Map
Determines the input file (2D texture, animated texture, etc) that controls the node's effect.
Map Projection Axis
Determines the axis along which the Strength Map is projected.
Map Helper
Displays the object being used to interactively determine the random effect in the scene.
Create Map Helper
Creates a new locator and connects it to the Map Helper.
Connect Map Helper
Connects the selected object to the Map Helper.
