Materials are the most basic way to create surface effects on models. Material assets let you change a model’s color, use textures, and create life effects such as transparency and reflections. Use materials with textures and shaders to give your models realism and style. View the results in real-time, without the need for rendering.
Add a material to a scene by dragging the Material asset from the Shading Elements folder in the Asset browser into an empty space in the Viewer. To automatically apply a material to a model, drop the asset onto the model in the Viewer.
When you add a material, you can define its properties in the Material settings that appear in the Navigator window.
