Use the Web bolts panel to define the parameters of the bolts connecting the plate with the bar webs.
Dialog elements
- Diameter
- Select a diameter for the bolts.
- Bolt grade
- Select a grade for the bolt.
- Shear portion
- Specify if the shear portion of the bolt is threaded or non threaded.
- Connection category
- Specify the connection category.
- Slip factor / Factor
- For category B and C bolts, specify the slip factor and the Ks factor.
- Center
- Automatically calculates the distance e1 between the bolt and the center of the connection as follows:
e1 = 0.5 * (hp - (r - 1) * p1).
Note: If the connection is symmetrical, this option cannot be deactivated.
- Number of rows
- Specify how many rows of bolts you want to create.
Note: Rows are identified by the letter "r" in the preview panel.
- Number of columns
- Specify how many columns of bolts you want to create.
Note: Columns are identified by the letter "c" in the preview panel.
- Distance e1
- Specify the distance between the bolt and the external edge of the web plate.
Note: This distance is identified by the value "e1" in the preview panel.
- Vertical spacing
- Enter the vertical spacing between bolts.
Note: This value is identified by "p1" in the preview panel.
- Distance e2
- Specify the distance between the bolt and the external edge of the web plate.
Note: This distance is identified by the value "e2" in the preview panel.
- Horizontal spacing
- Enter the horizontal spacing between bolts.
Note: This value is identified by "p2" in the preview panel.
