Use the Flange plates panel to define the geometric dimensions of the plates on flange bars.
Dialog elements
Note: If the connection is not symmetrical the Flange plates panel is divided in two panels:
- Upper flange plates and Lower flange plates for Beam-to-Beam Splice connections
- Right flange plates and Left flange plates for Column-to-Column Splice connections
- Center
- Automatically calculates the distance from the bar edge and the distance from the upper bar edge. Note: If the connection is symmetrical, this option cannot be deactivated.
- Distance from right/lower bar edge
- Specify the distance between the plate and the right or lower bar edge. Note: If Center is selected, or if the connection is symmetrical, this distance is calculated automatically.
- Distance from left/upper bar edge
- Specify the distance between the plate and the left or upper bar edge. Note: If Center is selected, or if the connection is symmetrical, this distance is calculated automatically.
- Length
- Enter the length of the plate.
- Width
- Enter the width of the plate.
- Thickness
- Enter the thickness of the plate.
- Material
- Select the plate material.
- Distance from external edge bar flange
- Specify the distance between the edges of the internal plate and the bar flange.
