Preview a Solar Study Animation

After creating a solar study animation, you can preview specific frames or the full animation using control buttons on the Solar Study ribbon tab.

1. In the Project Browser, double-click a view for which you created a solar study animation.
2. On the View Control Bar, click (Shadows On), and then click (Sun Path On), and select Solar Study.

Preview and Play

Adjust the animation preview in the Solar Study tab Preview and Play panel.

1. To play the animation from start to finish, click (Play).
2. To stop the animation, press ESC, or on the status bar, click Cancel.
3. To control the animation, use the following buttons on the Options Bar:

   - Moves backward 10 frames.

   - Moves forward 10 frames.

   - Displays the previous frame.

   - Displays the next frame.

   - Starts or stops playing the animation in a loop. You can navigate the model while the animation is playing. Use Space to start or stop the animation.

Display

Use the controls in the Display panel to change the animation speed, sunlight and shadow intensity during the preview.

Study Type

Use the controls in the Study Type panel to change the study type into Still Image, Single Day, Multi-day, or Lighting during the preview.

Presets and Data

Use the controls in the Presets and Data panel to change the presets and date and time for the Still Image, Single Day and Multi-day study types during the preview.

To display a specific frame of the animation in Single Day and Multi-day study types, use the Frame control in the Presets and Data panel.

For the Lighting study type, use the controls in the Presets and Data panel to change the presets, azimuth and altitude during preview.
