Define Net Room Area in Areabook

Specify the boundaries to calculate net room area for use on the floor area tag.

1. Click Quantification tab Areabook Extension panel (Add/Edit Floor Area) to open the Add/Edit Floor Area dialog.
2. Click the Net RA tab.
3. Adjust the net room area information as defined in the table below.
4. Click OK to update the floor area tag and close the dialog.

Calculate Net Room Area
Method of Calculation	Specifies how the net floor area calculates. NRA = Total of all registered rooms will use all calculated rooms when you click (Refresh) in the Add Net Room Area section. Otherwise, select NRA=GFA-CFA to calculate the net room area as the difference from the selected gross area and construction floor area. Note: Only one floor area type can use a formula calculation. The remaining two must use manual selection tools.
Add Net Room Area
Use View	Net floor area always calculates from all views in the project.
(Refresh)	Selects all calculated rooms from the project. If changes are made to rooms, you must recalculate area and then refresh to update the information.
Net Room Area (Read Only)
(Delete Rows)	Deletes the selected room row.
(Highlight Selected)	Opens the view to the selected room.
Number	Displays the room number of the room.
Name	Displays the name of the room.
Level	Displays the level of the room.
NRA	The calculated net floor area for the subarea.
Room Enclosure	(DIN-Standard Only) Room enclosure sectors defined as either: Regular case (R): covered and enclosed sector in full height on all sides. Special case (S): all other sectors.
Area Type	(DIN-Standard Only) The area type determined by the DIN 277-1 German standard. Select one of the following: NUF Nutzungsfläche TF Technikfläche VF Verkehrsfläche
NRA Subdivision	(DIN-Standard Only) The net room area subdivision type determined by the DIN 277-1 German standard. Select one of the following: 1-Wohnen und Aufenthalt 2-Büroarbeit 3-Produktion/Hand-Maschinenarbeit/Entwicklung 4-Lagern/Verteilen/Verkaufen 5-Bildung/Unterricht/Kultur 6-Heilen and Pflegen 7-Sonstige Nutzungen 8-Technische Anlagen 9-Verkehrserschl./sicherung
Proportional	The percentage of a proportional reduction.
Fixed Reduction	The fixed global reduction distance is applied globally to all room sides.
Comment	User defined comments for the room.
Total	The currently calculated net floor area
(R)	Sum of the calculated area for the regular case subareas.
(S)	Sum of the calculated area for the special case subareas.
