Specify the elements considered for building part data calculation.
- Click Quantification tab
Buildingbook Extension
(Calculate Building Part Quantities).
- In the Calculate Building Part Quantities dialog, Under Selection, for Selection Method, specify Filter elements on dialog.
Note: Alternatively, you can manually select elements instead of using conditional filters for selection. Follow the directions in the Manually Select Elements for Calculation section below.
- Set the element filters for calculation. Under Selection:
- Click the ellipsis in the Category, Family, and Type filter row. In the Category, Family, and Types Filter dialog, select all the applicable nodes for your calculation needs. Be sure to Autocheck new used families and types to include those created after the last calculation.
- Click the ellipsis in the Level Filter row. In the Levels dialog, select which levels for the filter to consider when selecting elements for calculation. Be sure to Autocheck new levels to include all levels that were created after the first building part quantities calculation.
- (Optional) Specify other conditional filtering under the Range section:
- Use Considered Detail Level to choose which level of detail (Medium or Fine) to use for calculation.
- Set the Height/Width considerations for windows and doors.
- To accommodate some country codes, reverse door stop left-right direction.
- Enable consideration of wall wraps or structural deck layers.
Once you specify the conditional filtering or manual selection of elements, you can proceed with calculating building part quantities.
