Create a Swept Blend Form

Create a swept blend form from a line and 2 or more 2D profiles sketched perpendicular to the line.

The line in the swept blend defines the path along which the 2D profiles are swept and blended to create the 3D form. The profile consists of linework drawn perpendicular to the line or series of lines that define the path.

Unlike a sweep form, swept blends cannot be created along multi-segmented paths. However, profiles can be open, closed, or a combination of both.

  1. Draw a line to form a path.
  2. Click Create tabDraw panel (Point Element) and place reference points for the swept blend profiles along the path.
  3. Select a reference point and draw a closed profile on its work plane.
  4. Draw profiles for the remaining reference points.
  5. Select the path and profiles.
  6. Click Modify | Lines tabForm panel (Create Form).
