Work with SteeringWheels

Display individual SteeringWheels and change their appearance and behavior.

To display the current SteeringWheels style

To close a wheel, use one of the following methods

Change the Appearance of SteeringWheels

Perform the following two steps before each of the actions below.

  1. Display a wheel.
  2. Right-click on the wheel and select Options.
  3. In the Options dialog, click the SteeringWheels tab.
  4. Select the way you want to change the appearance of SteeringWheels.
    If you want to… Then…
    change the size of the wheels under Big Wheel Appearance/Mini Wheel Appearance, for Size, select Small, Normal, or Large.
    change the opacity of the wheels under Big steering wheel appearance or Mini wheel appearance, select the level of transparency. Select 90% to display SteeringWheels at the greatest opacity. The default setting is 50%.
    enable tooltips for wheels click Show tooltips. Tooltips are displayed for each wedge and button on a wheel when the cursor moves over the wheel.
    enable cursor text for wheels click Show tool cursor text. Text labels are displayed while selected tools are being used.
    enable messages for wheels click Show tool messages. Messages are displayed when you use the navigation tools.
  5. Click OK.
