Select a Connection Type for a Panel

Use this procedure to specify whether the circuit is connected with a breaker or feed through lugs.

To connect a child panel to a parent panel with feed through lugs, you must first enable the Feed Through Lugs parameter for the parent panel. Follow the steps below to specify the Connection Type for the parent panel as Feed Through Lugs.

1. Select the parent panel and on the Properties palette, under Electrical - Circuiting, enable Feed Through Lugs.
2. Select the child panel and click Modify | Electrical Equipment tabCreate Systems panel Power.
3. Select the parent panel from the Panel drop-down list or click to use the Search box and type the name of the panel. You can also click Select Panel.

   By default, the Connection Type is set to Breaker.

4. Select Feed Through Lugs from the Connection Type drop-down list.

The load for the child or fed through panel is carried through the parent panel's bus, as if the child panel were connected with a breaker.
