Change the Visibility of a View Tag for Design Options

You can select to make the view tag visible for one option or for all design options.

  1. Open a project view in which the view tag displays.
  2. Check the design option settings for the view. (See Check the Design Option Settings for a View.) Select the design option that you plan to assign to the view tag.
  3. In the project view, select the view tag to display its properties in the Properties palette.
  4. For Visible in Option, do the following:
    If you want to... then...
make the view tag visible for all design options select All.
make the view tag visible for one option only select that design option.
  5. Note: If the Visible in Option property does not display in the Properties Palette, you may not have selected the entire view tag. See About Selecting View Tags.
Note: When nothing is selected, the Visible in Option property sets the option for the view itself.
    • This affects the visibility of the view tag in other views and updates the Visibility and Graphics overrides of the view to show the selected design option.
    • This can be set in views that do not have tags, i.e. plan views and orthogonal 3D views.
    • Use Visible in Option property as a shortcut to update the Visibility and Graphics Overrides for the design option in this view.
