Equation of State

The following equation describes the Equation of State property variation:

Enter the Gas constant, R.

The Material Environment Pressure is used to calculate an initial reference density as well as the absolute pressure during the analysis.

To change the Environment settings

1. In the Design Study bar, right click on the Material branch, and select Edit scenario environment reference...
2. Specify the Pressure and Temperature on the Material Environment dialog.

For adiabatic compressible analyses, the static temperature is calculated with the local stagnation and dynamic temperatures. This is used to compute density.
