GPU Raytracing Preferences

Added Use Ray Splitting and Use Two Sample MIS options to the General Settings > Features section in the Render Settings preferences.

Use Ray Splitting

Sets the default state of this option. It traces the reflection and refraction of rays when they first hit a glass surface. When turned off, only one ray is traced.

Use Two Sample MIS

Sets the default state of this option. It traces two samples for environment map evaluation. When turned off, traces only one sample for environment map evaluation, instead of two. As of 2022.1, this option is disabled by default.

Note:

If you've used a 2021 build thus far, the setting will be set to true in the preferences.xml and it will be enabled by default. To change this, select Edit > Preferences, then click Load All Default to disable it.
