You can assign one or more authentication methods to a user profile.
Note: You must be assigned the role of Administrator to perform this operation.
You can add an authentication account for a new user or edit it for an existing user.
- In the New User Profile dialog box, click Accounts. If you are editing an existing user account, use the User Profile dialog box.
- In the Add Authentication Account dialog box, select the authentication method:
Windows Authentication
- Select Windows Authentication to add the Active Directory account for authentication.
- Enter the Active directory domain name, or click Select Domain User to browse and add the user from the Active Directory domain.
- In the Select Users dialog box, click Locations to specify the domain containing the Active Directory account. In the Locations dialog box, select the domain to use and then click OK.
- Once you specify the user account, click OK in the Select Users dialog box. The selected Active Directory domain user account is added to the username.
- Click OK.
Note: Windows Authentication is available in Autodesk Vault Professional.
Vault Account
- Select Vault Account to add the vault user account for authentication.
- Enter a password for the user and then confirm it.
- Click OK.
Autodesk ID
- Select Autodesk ID to add the Autodesk Account for authentication.
- Enter the Autodesk credentials.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
