The Vault Revision Table feature allows you to automatically update a drawing's revision table with Vault data when properties are synchronized through the
Job Server.
This functionality eliminates the need to open each drawing within its native CAD application for updates.
Supported Drawings
- AutoCAD drawings (.dwg)
- AutoCAD Mechanical drawings (.dwg)
- Autodesk Inventor drawings (.idw)
- Autodesk Inventor drawings (.dwg)
Pre-requisites
Important: You must be an
administrator to enable the Vault Revision Table.
Note: The system property 'Revision' is a key mapping and be must be mapped to at least one of the column headers.
- Autodesk Inventor is installed so that Inventor IDW and DWG drawings can be updated.
- Revision Table functionality is enabled.
- The
Job Server is enabled with the synchronize properties option selected for the required state transition(s).
- Suitable column headers are created and their property mappings established between the drawings' revision table columns and the Vault properties.
Once all pre-requisites are met, the revision tables for the supported drawings are automatically updated with specified Vault data whenever properties are synchronized with the Job Server. This way, you can be sure that the revision table within your drawing is always up-to-date with the appropriate information from the vault.
Vault Revision Table Administration
Administrators can configure the information to be displayed in the drawings' revision table for standardization across the vault through the Revision Table Settings.
Important: The Vault Revision Table feature must be enabled before you can configure Revision table settings or use the Revision Table feature in the Inventor and AutoCAD Vault add-ins.
