Manage the Shortcuts Pane

A shortcut is a pointer to an associated folder or object. The Shortcuts pane displays and organizes any shortcuts to folders, items, or files that you create. It is part of the navigation pane.

If you hide the navigation pane, the Shortcuts pane is also hidden. By default, the Shortcuts pane is displayed.

Shortcuts can be created that point to folders , items,or files. When you click a shortcut in the navigation pane, the associated object is displayed in the main view. Shortcuts can be organized by groups, renamed, and removed from the navigation pane. The shortcuts that are displayed depend on the environment.

Note:

Shortcuts are saved for each user account, so you can have your own collection of frequently used shortcuts.
