To Modify Rail Platform Edges

Edit platform edges in your drawing.

Platform edges dynamically recalculate when their parent alignment changes. This includes changes to the profile or cant. The following procedure details how to manually adjust the platform edge.

To modify platform edge geometry

  1. Click Rail tab Platform Edge panel Edit Find.
  2. In the Edit Platform Edge dialog box, you can rename the platform edge or assign it a different profile.
  3. Adjust the following settings:
    • Track Gauge
    • Calculation Interval
    • Chainage Range or Length
    • Side
    • Rail Type
  4. Click OK to confirm the changes to the platform edge.
  5. Optionally, you can adjust the level of the feature line with the Level Editor. To open the editor, select the platform edge and click Modify tab Edit Levels panel Level Editor .

    To define platform edge property set definitions

  1. Click Modify tab Property Set Data panel Define Property Sets .
  2. In the Style Manager dialog box, expand the drawing name Documentation Objects Property Set Definitions.
  3. Select Platform Edge Information.
  4. On the Definition tab you can create or modify properties. The following property set definitions are created for rail platform edges:
    • AlignmentName
    • AxleSpacing
    • BogieOffset
    • CalculationInterval
    • CarriageLength
    • DesignCriteria
    • EndStation
    • Length
    • OffsetFromCarriage
    • Parameters
    • PlatformEdgeType
    • PlatformHeight
    • ProfileName
    • RailType
    • SafetyTolerance
    • Side
    • StartStation
    • TrackGauge
