Assign Levels Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to assign levels when creating feature lines from objects. You can access this dialog from the Create Feature Lines dialog box.

These options override the levels of the objects that you are converting to feature lines.

Note: If no gradings exist in the current site, the From Gradings option is unavailable. If no surfaces exist in the drawing, the From Surface option is unavailable.

Level

Assigns a fixed level to the feature line.

From Gradings

Creates a temporary surface from selected gradings to compute the feature line level.

Note: This produces the same result as using the From Surface option and selecting the grading group surface.

From Surface

Assigns levels to the feature line from a surface in the drawing. Select the surface from the drop-down list or click and select the surface in the drawing.

Select Intermediate Gradient Break Points

Inserts intermediate gradient breaks when the element crosses surface Triangulation lines, creating level points at these locations.

Relative Level to Surface

Specifies whether the feature line level is relative to, and dynamic to changes in, the surface. If you select this check box, you can also specify whether you want the feature line to be created above or below the surface level by specifying a value in the edit box.
