About Plot Properties

Edit plot properties to work with styles and other basic plot attributes.

You can edit the properties of a single plot, or a group of plots. In each case, you can change the plot style, area label style, and user defined properties such as plot number and address.

Properties control everything about a plot except its segment label styles. A site plot has an additional property that specifies the display order of plots within the site, including the site plot itself.

Some typical editing tasks are as follows:

• Replace a plot’s style, which governs the appearance of the plot itself.
• Replace a plot’s area label style, which governs the appearance of its area label and the information displayed in the label.
• View information about the plot segments.
• Specify the plot’s Start Point, which is the plot boundary’s initial node (start point of its initial segment).
• Renumber plots to reset their starting and increment values and/or rename a plot based on the plot name template.
• Change plot display order to set the properties of shared segments (such as color) when the two plots sharing it have different properties.

Edit plot properties by right-clicking a plot area label in the drawing, or by right-clicking a plot in Toolspace on the Prospector tab (or a Plots collection for a site plot).
