To Change Plot Display Order

Display order affects the display of all plot segments that are shared by two plots of different styles. The style that is higher in the display order controls the actual display.

Edit the plot style display order as a property of the site plot, using the Composition Tab of the Site Plot Properties dialog box. Access this dialog box by right-clicking either the site plots area label or the Plots collection in the Toolspace on the Prospector tab.

Tutorial Exercise: Changing Plot Style Display Order

  1. Click the site plots area label in the drawing.

If the plots area label is not visible, see To Hide or Show Plot Labels.

If you have selected the label correctly, the label text and its anchor point alone are highlighted. Selecting the area label also selects the plot.

  2. Right-click and click Plot Properties.
  3. In the Site Plot Properties dialog box, click the Composition tab.
  4. On the Composition tab, under Plot Style Display Order, change the list positions of styles listed there.

To change a styles list position, select it. Click the Up or Down Arrow. You can also drag a style to a new position. When you click Apply or OK, the plots are redrawn, starting with the styles at the bottom of the list and working up to the top.
