Survey Query Builder Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to specify the criteria for a survey query.

Name

Specifies the name of the survey query.

Description

Specifies an optional description of the survey query.

Expands the Points, Figures, and Default Sort Order in Editor collections.

Collapses the Points, Figures, and Default Sort Order in Editor collections.

Clear Query

Removes all query conditions from the Points and Figures collections.

Points

Use this collection to specify the conditions that define which survey points are included in the query.

Property

At the Points level, specifies the degree to which survey points are included in the query. Available selections are All, None, and By Query. The By Query selection enables you to define conditions that define which survey points are included in the query.

At the condition level, specifies the survey point attribute by which to filter survey points. The attributes that are available are dependent upon the attributes that are used in the current survey database.

Operator

Specifies the logical operator to use for a condition. The operators that are available are dependent upon the specified Property.

Value

Specifies the desired result of the Property and Operator equation.

AND/OR

Specifies the logic by which subsequent conditions are linked.

Figures

Use this collection to specify the conditions that define which survey figures are included in the query.

Property

At the Figures level, specifies the degree to which survey figures are included in the query. Available selections are All, None, and By Query. The By Query selection enables you to define conditions that define which survey figures are included in the query.

At the condition level, specifies the survey figure attribute by which to filter survey figures. The attributes that are available are dependent upon the attributes that are used in the current survey database.

Operator

Specifies the logical operator to use for a condition. The operators that are available are dependent upon the specified Property.

Value

Specifies the desired result of the Property and Operator equation.

AND/OR

Specifies the logic by which subsequent conditions are linked.

Default Sort Order In Editor

Use this collection to specify the default manner in which points and figures are sorted in the Survey Points Editor and Figures Editor.

Note: User-defined properties cannot be selected as a default sort order.

Order Points By

Specifies the order in which survey points are sorted in the Survey Points Editor. Specify a Property by which to sort the points, and then use the Operator column to specify whether to sort the points in ascending or descending order.

Order Figures By

Specifies the order in which survey points are sorted in the Figures Editor. Specify a Property by which to sort the figures, and then use the Operator column to specify whether to sort the figures in ascending or descending order.

Save File

Saves the query to a QML file. This option is useful if the survey database is open for read-only. For more information, see Saving a Survey Query File.

Save Query

Saves the query to the current survey database.

Preview in Drawing

Queries the survey database for survey points and figures that meet the specified conditions, and then displays the results in the current drawing.

Display in Editor

Queries the survey database for survey points and figures that meet the specified conditions, and then displays the results in the Survey Points Editor and Figures Editor.
