To Edit the Content of a Material Boundary

Use this procedure to change the content of a material boundary. The content includes such settings as materials displayed, hatch types, and boundary type.

1. Select a 2D elevation.
2. Click 2D Section/Elevation tabMaterial Boundary panelEdit In Place.

   The material boundary is highlighted and edit-in-place grips are displayed.

3. Click Edit In Place tabProfile panelEdit Material Boundary.
4. Specify the content of the material boundary:

   If you want to…	Then…
   highlight the area inside the boundary	select Limit for Purpose.
   mask (erase) the area inside the boundary	select Erase for Purpose.
   apply the highlight or mask only to specific parts of the elevation	select the appropriate parts for Apply to. You can choose Surface Hatch, Edge Linework, and All Linework.
   apply the material boundary to all materials used in the elevation	select All Materials for Material Selection.
   apply the material boundary only to selected materials	select Specific Materials for Material Selection, and then select the appropriate materials from the list below.

5. Click OK.
6. Click Edit In Place tabEdits panelFinish to save the changes you made, or click Edit In Place tabEdits panelCancel to undo them.
