To Edit a Mask Block Definition

Use this procedure to make any of the following types of modifications to a mask block definition:

Changes that you make to a mask block definition are immediately applied to any objects or styles to which the mask block created from the definition is attached.

  1. Select a mask block object, and click Mask Block Reference tabGeneral panelEdit Style drop-downMask Definition Styles.

    The Style Manager is displayed, and Mask Block Definitions is highlighted in the tree view of the current drawing.

    Note: Alternatively, you can click Manage tabStyle & Display panelStyle Manager, expand Multi-Purpose Objects, and expand Mask Block Definitions.
  2. Select the mask block definition.
  3. Click the Classifications tab.
  4. Select a classification for the classification definition.
  5. Click the Display Properties tab.
  6. Select the display representation where you want the changes to appear, and select Object Override.

    The display representation in bold is the current display representation.

  7. If necessary, click .
  8. Click the Layer/Color/Linetype tab.
  9. Select the component to change, and select a different setting.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click the General tab.
  12. Enter text for Description.
  13. Click Notes.
  14. Click the Notes tab, and enter a note.
  15. Click the Reference Docs tab, and attach, edit, or detach a reference file:
    If you want to… Then…
    attach a reference file click Add, select a file, and click OK.
    edit the description of a reference file select the file, and click Edit. Enter the description, and click OK.
    edit a reference file double-click the reference file name to start its application.
    detach a reference file select the file name, and click Delete.
  16. Click OK.
  17. To attach or edit schedule data, click Property Sets.
  18. Click OK.
