When you create a balloon, the default settings are obtained from the current drafting standard.
If the default balloon style is set to standard-based balloons, the balloons you create default to the balloon type set for that standard. If necessary, you can select a balloon and override this setting with another standard compliant balloon type. The five standard compliant balloon types supported by the system are:

You can override the balloon type, and at any time, you can override the balloon style. Select any standard-based balloon in the drawing and convert it to a custom balloon. Likewise, you can convert custom balloons to standard-based balloons.
