To Insert a Sprocket (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

1. Click Content tabCalculation panelChains/Belts drop-downSprocket/Pulley. Find
2. In the Pulleys and Sprockets dialog box, select Chain.
3. Select the Library button.
4. In the Select a Chain dialog box, select the type of the chain.
5. In the Select Part Size dialog box, select the size of the chain.
6. In the Number of Teeth to Draw field, enter the number of teeth for the sprocket, in order to calculate the diameter of the pitch circle.
7. In the Hole Diameter for Shaft field, enter a different diameter, if necessary.
8. Determine the number of teeth that are to be inserted in the drawing, and enter the insertion angle.
9. Specify the insertion point for the sprocket.
10. Press Enter to insert centerlines.

The sprocket is inserted.
