You can import codes to be used in a subassembly PKT file. The codes must exist in CSV format. A source CSV file can be exported from another PKT file where codes have been
defined, or it can be created independently.
To import codes
- Open the subassembly PKT file that you want to import codes into.
- On the
menu bar, click DefineDefine Code.
- Click Import.
- In the Open dialog box, navigate to the location where the codes CSV file is stored.
- Click Open.
- In the Import Codes dialog box, specify the Delimiter that is used in the source CSV file.
Note: If you exported the CSV file from the Define Codes dialog box, the delimiter will be comma.
- Under Map Data, the first entry is shown so you can map the data to the data type. For example, if the first entry is "Top", that corresponds to the Code Name so the Code Name radio button should be selected. If any of the data needs to be mapped differently, select different radio buttons accordingly.
- Under Data Preview, the codes that are found in the CSV are shown. Keep the Import check box selected for each code that you want to import. You can clear the Import check box for any codes that you do not want to import.
- Click OK to import the codes.
The Define Codes dialog box is populated with the imported codes.
- Click Save to save the codes in the PKT file.
- Apply the codes while creating subassembly geometry.
