To Edit Placed Content Center Parts

Standard components placed from Content Center are read-only. Content Center provides commands to change a component size or to replace a Content Center component.

Change size of a Content Center part

Use the Change Size command to change a key parameter (for example size) of a standard part.

1. In the assembly file, right-click a Content Center part in the graphic window or in the browser, and select Change Size.
2. In the Change Size dialog box, select parameters for the part to be placed in the assembly.
3. Click OK to confirm the change and close the dialog box.

Replace a part with a Content Center part

Use the Replace from Content Center command to replace a selected part with a Content Center part.

1. In the assembly, right-click in the graphic window, and click Replace from Content Center.
2. Select a part to replace. The selected part can be also a non-Content Center part.
3. In the Replace from Content Center dialog box, find a part to place in the assembly.
4. Select the part, and click OK to open the Family dialog box.
5. Select the family member to replace the current part with, and click OK.
