Are you new to Inventor?
The guided tutorials are a great way to get started. In Inventor Home, at the lower left, click Tutorials.
Set the
Type filter to
Quick Start to view tutorials that introduce you to the basics of sketching, part modeling, creating assemblies, and documenting your design in a drawing.
Note:
- You cannot scroll the text panel or play a video when a dialog box is open. Sometimes it is useful to read the steps and watch the video before you begin.
- The text in a tutorial pane cannot be copied.
Once you finish the basics, set the
Location filter to
All, and the
Type filter to
All to view tutorials that cover additional learning content, such as sheet metal design.
Note: An active internet connection is required to view All Available.
You can change the gallery display by clicking any of the following:
- All to view tutorials that you can download.
Note:
- The gallery display updates when a new tutorial is shared publicly with the community and stored in the cloud.
- Change the Language filter to view tutorials available in other languages.
- You can select more than one language.
- Tutorials you previously downloaded are displayed in this view marked with an Installed banner.
- Installed to view only downloaded and locally installed tutorials and those the current user has authored.
- My Tutorials to view tutorials the current user has authored.
- Shared With Me to view tutorials that are privately shared with you.
To see a more detailed description of the tutorials, switch from the default Grid view
to the List view
.
