The AutoCAD Map 3D toolset Maintenance workspace displays the Industry Model explorer pane. By default, it is on the left side of the application window. It contains the Industry Model explorer, which you use to view and edit data.
You can define industry model explorer profiles, which determine which items are displayed in the Industry Model explorer. You can configure Industry Model explorers for each industry model. Definitions and objects that can be shown in the industry model explorer are:
Data Model | Processes feature classes. |
Domains | Processes domain tables. |
Topologies | Lists the topologies. |
Intersections | Starts intersection definitions |
System | Lists the Client system tables. |
Explorer Groups | Specifies an explorer profile. |
Job By | Displays jobs ordered by date, state or type. |
Job Enabled Topics | Displays job-enabled feature classes. |
Jobs | Displays jobs |
Plot | Lists the plot feature classes. We recommend that you do not display the plot feature classes in the industry model explorer. |
Viewports | Lists the viewports. |
Workflows | Lists the workflows. |
In general, each of the items in the industry model explorer has a context menu that allows you to perform all relevant operations. For each user group, you can define which context menus are available for each item.
There are two steps for customizing context menus:
You can define the available fly-ins for each industry model and user group. Fly-ins on the Industry Model explorer can be either docked in (included in the application window) or docked out (independently flying on the desktop).
Some examples of fly-ins:
