- In the Infrastructure Administrator, do one of the following:
- Click Enterprise and connect to the enterprise industry model. Open a project.
- Click File and open an industry model drawing or template.
- Expand the Industry Model node and click Form Designer.
The Form Designer is displayed in the right pane. The topics and feature classes are displayed in the form explorer.
- In the Form Designer dialog box, on the left pane, notice the Form Type name.
- To add a tab to the form, click and specify the name for the new tab.
Once a form contains more than a single tab, an All tab is automatically added. Any controls on the All tab are available in all other tabs.
- On the Form Designer toolbar, use the Controls tab to define the database attributes and controls that are shown in the form.
A list of visible and hidden controls is displayed.
- To hide a control, drag it from the Form to the Hidden list.
- To display a control in the form, double-click it or drag it to the Visible list.
You can also use the toolbar to add controls. For a description of the available controls, see Form Designer: Toolbar.
Note: The controls TEXTBOX, CHECKBOX, COMBOBOX, COLORBOX, PICTUREBOX and PICTURECOMBOBOX each reference a database attribute. For each attribute, you can apply one appropriate control.
If all database attributes have one of these controls, no further control of this type can be created. The message "All Attributes Have A Control! Would You Like To Replace An Existing Control ?" indicates that there are no attributes without a control in the current form. Click Yes to replace the control. In the Select Control To Be Replaced list you can select the attribute.
- Enter the name of the control and click OK. The control is added to the Form pane.
- Select the control in the right pane and drag it to the desired position on the form.
- In the left pane, click the Properties tab and define the control’s properties.
For a description of the available properties for each of the available controls, see the topics in the Form Designer: Toolbar section.
