Publish a georeferenced map in DWF format, for eventual display on the Web or on an intranet. DWF (Design Web Format™) is an open, secure file format developed by Autodesk for sharing engineering design data. DWF files are highly compressed, so they are smaller and quickly transmitted and viewed. This format can include object data or feature attributes, as well as the graphical elements of your map.
If you assigned a coordinate system to all model-space maps in your DWF file, the publishing operation automatically converts the coordinate information to latitude/longitude coordinates. Autodesk Design Review can automatically navigate to a specific location when you enter coordinates. It displays coordinates of any location in the map when you move your mouse over that location. With computers integrated with a GPS device using the NMEA 0183 protocol, field workers can center the map to coordinates provided by that device. As a result, the “my coordinates” icon appears within the map.
Files in DWF format can be displayed using Autodesk® Design Review. For product information and a download link for this product, refer to the Autodesk Design Review page on the Autodesk web site.
