As you place rooms in a project, you can use tags that sequentially number the rooms. The tags automatically number based on the Number parameter for rooms. Values can be alphabetical, numerical, or alphanumeric sequences.
- Click Architecture tab
Room & Area panel
(Room), and place a room in the building model. - Click Modify, and then select the room (not the room tag).
To select the room, move the cursor near the center of the room until a large X appears. This X indicates the room boundaries. When you click the X, the room is highlighted in transparent blue, indicating that it is selected.
- On the Properties palette, enter a value for Number. Note: If you want to number rooms sequentially by floor, enter the number to begin with (such as 101, 201, 301, and so on) that corresponds to the current floor plan view. As you place subsequent rooms on that level, the room numbers follow in sequence (202, 203, 204, and so on).
- Create additional rooms and room tags.
All subsequent rooms are numbered sequentially.
