PressureMapWettedSurfaces

Summary: Modify how forces are computed at the interface between moving and stationary solids.

Flag

PressureMapWettedSurfaces A

A = 0 (off): All solid surfaces receive a pressure mapping in motion analyses (default)

A = 1 (on): Removes the requirement that all solid surfaces receive a pressure mapping

Description

By default, Autodesk® CFD assumes that all solid surfaces in a motion analysis receive a pressure mapping.

Enable this flag to remove the requirement that all solid surfaces receive a pressure mapping. Note that when a part gets pushed against a wall, and you assume no forces exist on the contacting face, the part is trapped. This is because no force acts on the contacting face, but there are active pressure forces on the other wetted faces.
