The Calculation Options option allows for setting the parameters / calculation options to be used during concrete column design. The option is available from:
- the menu after selecting the Analysis > Calculation Options command or
- the toolbar after selecting the 'Calculation Options' icon .
The dialog box consists of the following tabs (two of them are summarized here under one name: Reinforced Steel Parameters):
The Additional reinforcement tab is also available for the RC beams. It refers to parameters of the following reinforcement types available in the RC beams:
- longitudinal construction reinforcement
- assembly hooks, bursting hooks
- anti-shrinkage reinforcement
- reinforcement of struts.
Note: The tabs describing the parameters of reinforcing steel in theDeep beams module bear the following names: Main reinforcement and Distributed reinforcement.
The Calculation options dialog box in the Deep beams, Walls and RC Slabs modules contains an additional tab: Wire fabrics. For RC slabs there is still another tab displayed Reinforcement for punching.
Selecting any of the tabs changes the dialog box contents and allows for the definition of appropriate calculation options.
Note: The description of the calculation options of RC columns, beams and continuous footings is similar. Therefore, the calculation options have been explained using the dialog boxes for RC columns supplemented for RC beams and continuous footings.
Note: Concrete and reinforcing steel parameters are identical for all RC structure elements (beams, columns and foundations).
Note: In the RC slabs module, the material parameters displayed in the Calculation optionsdialog box are related to the settings in the symbol Plate and shell reinforcement type dialog box. That is why they are not editable.
Standard buttons (OK, Cancel, Help) as well as the Set as Default and Restore Default are located in the right part of the dialog box.
Note: A change of any parameter and acceptance of the changes results in deleting the current calculation results (if these were available) and closing of the calculation result dialog boxes.
