Insert a Revision Line with Activated Revision Control

1. Attach an xref drawing to the assembly drawing.
2. At the Command prompt, enter AMREV.
3. Save and close the assembly drawing.
4. Open the xref drawing and change anything (for example, detailing).
5. Save the xref drawing.
6. Open the assembly drawing again.
7. In the message box, click OK.
8. Specify an insertion point for the revision line.
9. Complete the entries in the Edit Revision Attributes dialog box.
10. Click OK.

Note:

The program inserts the revision line with a header and the first line when you insert it for the first time.

Insert a Revision Line without Activated Revision Control

1. Attach an xref drawing to the assembly drawing.
2. Save and close the assembly drawing.
3. Open the xref drawing and change anything (for example, detailing).
4. Save the xref drawing.
5. Open the assembly drawing again.
6. In the message box click OK.
7. At the Command prompt, enter AMREVUPDATE.
8. Specify an insertion point for the revision line.
9. Complete the entries in the Edit Revision Attributes dialog box.
10. Click OK.

Note:

When you insert the revision line for the first time, the program inserts it with a header and the first line.
