To Enable Column Splitting on Parts Lists (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

1. At the Command prompt, enter AMOPTIONS.
2. Select the AM:Standards tab.
3. In the Standard Elements list, double-click Parts List. The BOM Settings dialog box is displayed.
4. In the Parts List tab, click .
5. Select the Enable column split check box.
6. To split the column based on the number of data rows, select the Number of rows option and enter the row number to split.

   To split the column by distributing the data rows evenly among multiple sections, select the Number of sections option and enter the number of sections to split to.

7. Click OK until all dialog boxes close.

Note: Changes to heading row location have no impact on parts lists that exist in a drawing.
