- In the mechanical browser, double-click the xref component view or folder you want to modify to activate it. Geometry that doesn't belong to the selected view/folder are dimmed out.
- Perform appropriate modifications on the component view/folder geometry.
- Double-click a vacant area in the mechanical browser to reset activation.
Note: Modifications to xref components are saved back to the source drawing when you save your current drawing. While you edit the xref component, other users cannot modify the source drawing. Once you finish the modifications, you must purge all locks to enable other users to work on the source drawing.
